1. it's in progress. These days i'm having lots of tests and very little time to work on my projects. But i'll tell you a little bit about my progress. I'm Currently working on the Chuunin exams. I'm making the test in the forest of death as a kind of a "God Of War" style action sequence, that in the end will result in an RPG-like battle atgainst the ninja-boss. after that there will be a series of tournament battles as the final test, and it'll make you a Chuunin! The rest is still a secret!.

2. Character select? Sorry but the game is already too heavy. But i'll tell ya' something! if I will finish the game and it'll be succesfull, i'll might make an expansion called "Dark Origins", where you will play as Sasuke, as he tries to become the strongest in order to beat Itachi! (may I remind you it's only an idea that isn't surely gonna be actually in the making, so don't exepct to it for the meanwhile).
